John Loveless, 56

John Edmund Loveless, 56, formerly employed with Shawmar Oil Co. in Marion, died Dec. 11 at Salina Regional Health Center.
The funeral was Dec. 15 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Lincolnville, with pastor Alan Stahlecker officiating. Burial was at Lincolnville Cemetery.
He was born Feb. 22, 1947, to Max E. and Tabea (Miltz) Loveless in Marion. On Nov. 4, 1984, he was married to Sandra Rawald, who survives.
He is also survived by one step-daughter, Jenny Maggard of Hollywood, Calif.
Memorials have been established with cancer research or St. John’s Lutheran Church, and the family requests no flowers.

Helen Stromberg, 82

Helen Margaret Stromberg, 82, homemaker, died Dec. 9 in Marion.

The funeral was Dec. 13 at Florence Christian Church with pastors Harold Brown and Marilyn Cox officiating. Burial was at Hillcrest Cemetery in Florence.

She was born Nov. 13, 1921, to Eli J. and Lydia J. (Hett) Peterson in rural Florence. On Aug. 22, 1936, she was married to August Sellers, who predeceased her in 1961. On Nov. 18, 1967, she was married to Benard M. Stromberg, who survives.

She is also survived by one son, Robert Sellers and wife Leah of Florence; one daughter, Margaret Harris of Marion; one brother, Clifford Peterson of Redfield; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

A memorial has been established with Florence Christian Church.

Claudine Boyle, 79

Claudine M. Boyle, 79, retired employee of Farmers State Bank & Trust Co. and Citizen’s State Bank, both of Canton, died Dec. 13 at Shiloh Manor Nursing Home in Canton.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 17, at Canton United Methodist Church with pastor Wayne Stephens officiating. Burial will be at Canton Township Cemetery.

She was born Feb. 2, 1924, to Walter C. and Nellie May (Schulz) Kalb in Kansas City, Mo. On May 2, 1943, she was married to Melvon L. Klatt, who died in 1975. On Dec. 22, 1978, she was married to Lloyd W. “Bill” Boyle Jr., who survives.

She is also survived by two sons, Jay Dean Klatt of Pierce City, Mo. and Eugene L. Klatt of Scott City; one step-son, Mike Boyle of San Diego, Calif.; one step-daughter, Kathryn Boyle of Wichita; five grandchildren, six step-grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Memorials have been established with Canton United Methodist Church and Shiloh Manor Nursing Home.

Jerrid Whitwell, 21

Jerrid Michael Whitwell, 21, student, died Dec. 14 at his home in Hutchinson.

The memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 18, at Strassburg Baptist Church in Marion with pastor Don Mashburn officiating.

He was born Aug. 24, 1982, to Eddy and Janie Whitwell in Baxter Springs.

He is survived by his parents of Marion; two brothers, Josh and John Whitwell of Marion; grandparents Bill and Sue Brookshire of Picher, Okla., and Betty Whitwell of Wichita.

A memorial has been established with Strassburg Baptist Church.

Lindon Wasemiller, 75

Lindon Wasemiller, 75, farmer, died Dec. 14 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.

The funeral will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 18, at Zion Lutheran Church of Hillsboro with pastor Clark M. Davis officiating. Burial will be at Lehigh Township Cemetery in rural Lehigh.

He was born Oct. 15, 1928, to Ferdinand and Caroline (Steinert) Wasemiller in Hillsboro. On May 1, 1950, he was married to Norma Schmidt, who survives.

He is also survived by one son, Sid Wasemiller of Lehigh; one daughter, Sandy Poplin and husband Larry of Hutchinson; one sister, Marianne Shafer of Lincoln, Neb.; and one grandchild, Kara Wasemiller of McPherson.

A memorial has been established with Zion Lutheran Church or the donor’s choice.
