Parkside Homes earns

perfect score on survey

— Parkside Homes Inc. of Hillsboro received no deficiencies following an Oct. 22 licensure and certification resurvey by the Kansas Department on Aging.

A survey with no deficiencies is relatively rare in the state’s stringent requirements.

Parkside received specific affirmation for the development and implementation of a care-management program resulting in the highest degree of skin integrity for residents,and for the development of creative methods for meeting the nutritional and personal food preferences of residents.

Also earning no deficiencies in the recent resurvey were Westview Manor in Peabody and Bethesda Home in Goessel.

Thiessen earns real estate license; joins Fast Realty

— Glenn Thiessen of Hillsboro recently received his license with the Kansas Real Estate Commission and has joined Fast Realty of Hillsboro as a part-time agent.

Thiessen will continue to work full time at Parkside Homes Inc. as its director of environmental services. He is certified as a home inspector and as a heating-and-air technician.

Thiessen will be available to take on real-estate business on evenings and weekends and will be in the Fast Realty office on Saturday mornings by appointment.
