Tabor volleyball headed to Omaha

The KCAC regular season champion Tabor College, took home more hardware as they deafeated the Kansas Wesleyan Coyotes Saturday night in the finals of the conference tournament.



Tabor defeated KW in four games by scores of 26-30, 30-21, 30-26, and 30-16.



Seniors Angela Kroeker and Laura Campbell were named to the honorable mention all-conference team, while senior Sara McAllister and freshman Staci Whitcomb were named to the all-conference first team.



Amy Ratzlaff, head coach of the Bluejays, was named conference coach of the year.



“Being named coach of the year is not that hard when you have this group of women to work with,” Ratzlaff said. “They are gems and that makes my job fun and that’s the most important part of it.”



Tabor will represent the KCAC at the regional tournament in Omaha, Nebraska on November 20, 21, and 22. Tabors game will begin at 8:00 p.m. against an opponent to be named on Sunday.



Tabor was awarded the sixth seed and heads into the tournament with a record of 20-12.
