Kelsie Brooke Crist and Derrick Scott Funk were married June 7 at the United Presbyterian Church in Garden City with pastors Dave Sweley and Corey Miller officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Skip and Karen Crist of Holcomb. The groom is the son of Gerald and Sharon Funk of Hillsboro.

Grandparents are Raymond Crist of Holcomb; Serena Schoonover of Dodge City; Roy and Mary Ann Funk and Joyce Hanneman, all of Hillsboro; and the late Cledith Crist, Joseph Schoonover, Ervin Hein and Clifford Hanneman.

Maid of honor was Angela Crist of Holcomb, sister of the bride. Best man was Jeff Funk of Hillsboro, brother of the groom.

Bridesmaids were Blair Crist-Fulk of Denver, cousin of the bride; Carisa Funk of Hillsboro, sister-in-law of the groom; Mindi Edwards of Scott City and Suzanne Goeckler of Emporia, both friends of the bride.

Bride’s attendant was Emily Braxmeyer of Atwood, friend of the bride.

Flower girl was Clarissa Ratzlaff of Scott City, friend of the bride and groom.

Groomsmen were Ryan Crist of Holcomb, brother of the bride; Brad Foth of Olathe, Jimmy Janzen of Hillsboro and Ryan Suderman of Wichita, all friends of the groom. Junior groomsman was Collin Ratzlaff of Scott City, friend of the bride and groom.

Ringbearer was Daniel Funk of Wichita, cousin of the groom.

Ushers were Jeremy Crist of Topeka and Quinn Crist-Fulk of Denver, both cousins of the bride; Nick Hein of Hillsboro, cousin of the groom; and Ken Funk of McPherson, uncle of the groom.

Candlelighters were Matt Hein and Carmen Hein, both of Hillsboro and cousins of the groom.

Guestbook attendants were Jill George of Garden City, cousin of the bride, and Jill Hein of Hillsboro, cousin of the groom.

Scripture was read by Myles Vulgamore of Scott City, cousin of the bride, and Emily Braxmeyer.

Wedding coordinator was Shari Ratzlaff of Scott City, friend of the bride and groom.

Flower coordinator was Pat Funk of McPherson, aunt of the groom.

Program and favor attendants were Cale Morrow and Cambre Morrow, both of Dodge City and cousins of the bride; and Skyler Glenn and Kaitlynn Hammond, both of Holcomb and cousins of the bride.

Videographers were Brian Vulgamore and Corbin Stevens, both of Scott City and cousins of the bride.

Musicians were pianist, saxophonist and clarinetist Tod Kerstetter of Manhattan, friend of the bride; pianist Heidi Stevens of Scott City, cousin of the bride; organist Linda Adams of Garden City ; vocalist and guitarist Dave Baker of Hillsboro, cousin of the groom; vocalist Aaron Arnold of Kansas City, friend of the bride; and vocalist Shari Ratzlaff.

A string quartet consisted of Deb Reha, JoAnn Conway, Carolyn Peebles and Catherine McMillen, all of Garden City.

The reception was held following the ceremony. Hosts were Steven and Shari Ratzlaff of Scott City, friends of the bride and groom, and Chance and Mindy Morrow of Dodge City, cousins of the bride.

Reception attendants were Elaine Baker, Elaine Funk, Carla Hein and Barb Hein, all of Hillsboro and aunts of the groom.

The bride earned a degree in business administration/human-resource management from Kansas State University in 2000. She is enrolled in elementary education and plans to graduate with a second degree in December.

The groom earned a degree in agriculture/landscape design from Kansas State University in 2000. He is employed as a foreman at the Blueville Nursery in Manhattan.

Following a honeymoon in Nassau, Bahamas, the couple resides in Manhattan.
