Anthonys to speak at Nov. 13 LRP session

Bruce and Lorraine Anthony, Hillsboro, will present “It’s Not a Container-It’s a Martin Box!” at the Thursday, Nov. 13 , Learning in Retirement Program session at Tabor College.

The Anthonys will speak of their Ozark adventure in ministry at the Martin Box (Ark.) Mennonite Brethren Church this past summer; Bruce served as interim pastor.

His career has included several American Baptist pastorates, including serving as senior pastor of University Baptist Church, Wichita, and interim pastor of First Baptist Church, Newton.

A member of the Tabor College faculty since 2000, Bruce holds a doctorate in curriculum and instruction from Arizona State University, Tempe. He currently serves as associate professor of education.

Lorraine, a seamstress, has costuming credits ranging from the Wichita Musical Theatre to Tabor College’s recent productions of “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.”

The session will begin at 10:10 a.m. in the Wohlgemuth Music Education Center.

Older adults are invited to attend. Usual fees are $4 a session. Those who have never attended a Learning in Retirement Program session are invited to attend free of charge.
