The Marion Warriors advanced to the next round of playoffs with a hard-fought 10-0 win over the Medicine Lodge Indians Tuesday night in bi-district play in Marion.

Marion held a slim 3-0 lead at half time on the strength of a Steven Boone 26-yard field goal with just 50 seconds to play in the first half.

The second half was a similar defensive struggle until Boone scored the games only touchdown on a 35-yard run with just 2:07 to play in the game.

Boone rushed the ball 30 times for 133 yards to pace the Warriors, who improve their record to 9-1.

Medicine Lodge ends their season at 5-5.

Next up for Marion is a Saturday date with the Hesston Swathers, a 27-0 winner over Minneapolis.
