Schmidts mark 50th
with family supper
Malvin and Darlene Schmidt of Hillsboro celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a family supper on Oct. 11 at Olde Town Restaurant in Hillsboro.
The couple were married Oct. 4, 1953, at Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church.
Attending the celebration were two sons, Jerry Schmidt of Salina and Kelly Schmidt of Friday Harbor, San Juan Island; one daughter, Malvina Heinrichs of Tulsa, Okla.; one grandson, Trenton Schmidt of Tulsa; and one granddaughter, Brittani Heinrichs of Tulsa.
Family members unable to attend were son Leroy Schmidt of Oahu, Hawaii; daughter-in-law Jean Schmidt of Friday Harbor, grandson Jeremy Schmidt of Redstone Arsenal, Ala., and fiancé Abbey Kornelson of McPherson; and grandson Eric Heinrichs of Tulsa.
