Tabor defeats Bethel 19-10

The Tabor College Bluejays defeated KCAC foe Bethel College Saturday night 19-10 in Hillsboro.



Tabor rolled up 400 yards in total offense but scored just one touchdown, a three yard pass from quarterback Ricky Ishida to Preston Neufeld. Tabors offense bogged down inside the twenty yard line on numerous occasions, and the Bluejays were forced to attempt six field goals, of which Keenan Morris made four. Morris made field goals of 28, 31, 21, and 21 yards.



The Tabor defense, meanwhile, held the Threshers to just 190 yards of total offense. Bethel was limited to just 10 first downs in the game, compared to 20 for the Bluejays.



Ishida, filling in for injured David Hernandez, was 16-29 passing for 224 yards and threw just one interception.



With the win, the Bluejays improve their overall record to 3-0, and 2-0 in KCAC action.



Next Saturday, Tabor travels to Salina to battle the Kansas Wesleyan Coyotes, with game time set for 7:00.
