Marion rolls Chase County 49-7

The Marion Warriors pounded previously undefeated Chase County Friday night at Cottonwood Falls 49-7.



The Warriors scored on three of their four first quarter possessions and led 35-0 at half time.

Marion finished the evening with 445 rushing yards and an additional 145 yards through the air.



Clayton Chamberland threw touchdown passes of 45 yards to Calvin Riggs and 13 yards to Tyler Stubenhofer, and also scored on runs of five and 11 yards.



Steven Boone rushed for 174 first half yards and 225 for the game and scored on runs of one and six yards.



Casey Nelson added a 79 yard gallop for the Warriors who improved their overall record to 3-1 and 2-0 in the CVL.



Marion heads to Council Grove next Friday night.
