Cathy Fish, librarian, will be a guest at lunch, Thursday, Sept. 11, at the Senior Center. After the meal, she will preview a selection of books from the library. The books may be checked out for a period of six weeks.

Mary McFadden, registered nurse, will be available for foot care and blood pressure-testing on Monday, Sept. 15, at the Senior Center. Seniors are asked to call ahead for an appointment.

The Senior Services Fair is planned to begin at 8:45 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 16. A van is scheduled to take seniors to the event and will leave the Senior Center at 7 a.m. Prior reservations are required.

A covered-dish lunch will be held at noon, Wednesday, Sept. 17, at the Senior Center. The Senior Center Post Office will begin at 11 a.m., and Harris Zafar, Wichita audiologist, will be available at 11:15 a.m. Doris Kuchar will present the program “Preserving Your Memorabilia.”

Commodities will be distributed beginning at 10 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 18, at the Senior Center. Cranberry juice, tuna, peas, egg noodles, cereal, peaches, pudding cups, sliced cheese, walnuts and peanut butter will be available under income guidelines.

Those who volunteered their time at the Senior Center last week were the following:

Kitchen: Irma Koop, Irma Groening, Jean Herbel, Betty Price, Kim Friesen, Margaret Funk, Nellie Jost, Vi Suderman and Mariann Unruh.

Meal drivers: Ron and Rosemary Freeman, Elgin Bartel and Paul Ediger.

FISH transportation: Darlene Matz and Ethel Bartel.
