Carla Wilkening and Jason Hamm were married May 30 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Canton with Terry Wiechman, friend of the family, officiating the double-ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Roger and Mary Wilkening of Canton. The groom is the son of Lonnie and Donna Hamm of Hillsboro.

Matron of honor was Kim Buster, friend of the bride. Best man was Jesse Hamm, brother of the groom.

Bridesmaids were Andrea Potter and Lynette Hilly, both sisters of the bride and Melissa Thompson, friend of the bride. Flower girl was Kacia Hilty, niece of the bride.

Groomsmen were Anthony Thiessen and Scott Schultz, both friends of the groom and Matt Farnsworth, friend of the couple. Ring bearer was Chance Engel, friend of the bride.

Ushers were Adam Kleiber, Curtis Gray, Danny Entz and Steven King, friends of the couple.

Candlelighters were Adam and Mallory Potter, nephew and niece of the bride.

Gift carrier was Kaity Hollingsworth, friend of the bride.

Musicians were Dorothy Otte on the organ and piano, and soloist Dixie Wright.

The bride wore an empire cut white gown with a triangular insert of burgundy at the top of the bodice.

She carried a bouquet of yellow roses, red roses and baby’s breath. The bouquet included one purple iris and one pink rose in honor of the bride’s grandmothers.

The reception was held in the American Legion of Canton and hosted by Kent and Connie Hollingsworth, friends of the bride.

Reception assistants were Dana Wilkening, Michelle Vogts, Renea Renken and Joey Dawes, all cousins of the bride.

The bride is a 1996 graduate of Canton-Galva High School and attended Concordia University in Seward, Neb. She is a custom-service representative for Farmers Alliance Mutual Insurance Company in McPherson.

The groom is a 1995 graduate of Hillsboro High School and is employed as a welder for Excel Turf Equipment in Hesston.

The rehearsal dinner was held on May 29 at the Eagle Cafe in Canton.

After a honeymoon in Kansas City, the couple resides in Hillsboro.
