Two sign for Tabor women’s basketball

Amber Cross and Donya Anderson have both signed letters of intent to play women’s basketball at Tabor College next season.

Cross, a 5-feet 6-inch guard from Aubrey (Texas) High School, was a member of the all-district team and helped her squad to a district championship and finish as an area runner-up.

Bluejay coach Rusty Allen said he is excited about Cross and what she will bring to the Tabor program.

“Amber has good quickness,” he said. “She is a tough defender and a good shooter. Amber is a solid Christian young lady and we are very pleased to have her coming to Tabor.”

Anderson, a 5-feet 10-inch forward from Ardmore (Okla.) High School, was named all-conference her senior year and competed in the final four in the Class 5A state tournament.

Allen said although Anderson will make a nice addition to the Tabor squad, she will also accomplish much in the classroom, too.

“Donya played on an outstanding high school team,” said Allen. “She is very strong, grabs lots of rebounds and passes the ball well.”
