Wichitans win catfish tourney

The 3rd Annual Marion Lake Association Catfish Tournament was held on Sunday, July 26, at Marion Reservoir.

Rex Glaze and Trung Tran of Wichita took home top honors.

The pair caught the biggest fish, which weighed 17 pounds, 9 ounces, and netted them a $100 prize for largest fish caught. The duo also received $260 for the most in creel weight of 35 pounds 7 ounces.

Taking second place was B.J. Clement of Tampa and Todd Clement of Wichita with a total creel weight of 32 pounds 3 ounces, which earned the duo $150.

Finishing third with a creel weight of 32 pounds was Larry Andrews of Peabody and Truman Slatten of Collins, Missouri. The team earned $100 for their day’s work.
