Mural to provide historical glimpse

ORIGINALLY WRITTEN
Brenda Koehn paints a scene from a dry goods store on the north wall of the Buffalo Gulch Ranchhouse restaurant in Burns. The mural, painted by Brenda and Barbara Anderson, depicts scenes from Burns’ past. The wall is the south border of a new park being created in a vacant lot in the center of Burns. A gazebo large enough to hold a band has already been built on the property, and further plans include brick walkways, picnic tables, large boulders for kids to play on, and the return of an old water fountain that used to sit on the corner. “We plan to bring in music groups on Friday nights,” said City Clerk Carolyn Koehn. “And the farmers market will also be able to set up here.”
