Hillsboro will be the host site for The United States Specialty Sports Association (USSSA) Class “E” regional state softball tournament on Aug. 1-3.
Approximately 50 teams will compete in the largest regional tournament to be held in Kansas this year. One hundred games will be played in the three-day event that will be held at the Sports Complex.
“We are thrilled to have such a large event come to our community,” said Matt Dalke, tournament director. “Class E softball is a high quality and exciting brand of softball.”
Circle D of Hillsboro, who will be competing in the tournament, is one of the top-ranked teams in the state and should contend for the championship.
Games will begin at 7 p.m. on Friday with free admission on that night only.
Starting game time Saturday and Sunday is 8 a.m.
