Yvette Peters and Kevin Nickel, both of Goessel, were married at 7 p.m., June 13, at Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church near Goessel.

Pastor Corey Miller officiated and pastors Mark Wiens and Nita Wilson assisted in the double-ring ceremony.

The couple’s parents are Delbert and Janine Peters, and Elton and Denise Nickel, all of Goessel.

The bride’s attendants were matron of honor Sara Hiebert and bridesmaids Brandy Ashley and Julia Washburn.

The groom’s attendants were best man Kenton Nickel and groomsmen Russell Adrian and Ben Patton.

Musicians were Renae Peters, Andrea Nickel and Pamela Abrahams, piano; Jason Peters, organ and vocal; Patrick Flaming, Brett Klingenberg and Chad Unrau, vocal; Bethany Nickel, flute; and Breanna Nickel, violin.

Ushers were Kent Peters, Jeremy Hora, Aaron Banman and Kyle Funk.

Gift carriers were Darla Funk, Eunice Voth, Monica Voth and Abby Schrag.

The bride wore a white embroidered Italian satin gown that had jeweled spaghetti straps on top of an embroidered and jeweled bodice, a fit-and-flare skirt embroidered just above the hem, and a tiffany-length train.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held in fellowship hall. Hosts were Royce and Jennifer Flaming, and Keith and Barb Banman. Assistants were Rod and Linda Peters, Danielle Billings, Jacey Boese, Kira Kindall, Mindy Pfannenstiel, Tina Schmidt, Leslie Schroeder, Mandy Voth, Danae Wiens, Lori Finkner and Kara Stucky.

The bride graduated from Goessel High School in 1999 and from Bethel College in 2003. She is a receptionist at Banc First in Norman, Okla.

The groom graduated from GHS in 1999 and from Tabor College in 2003. He is a graduate student at University of Oklahoma.

The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner June 23 at Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church.

After a honeymoon in Cancun, Mexico, the couple lives in Norman.
