Hagen, Rector exchange vows

Jennifer Hagen and Eric Rector were married March 1 at Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church with Clint Seibel, friend of the couple, performing the double-ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Randy and Vianne Hagen of Hillsboro. The groom is the son of Kirby and Kathy Rector, also of Hillsboro.

Matron of honor was Sue Baker, friend of the bride. Best man was Ryan Rector, brother of the groom.

Bridesmaids were Holly Ross, friend of the bride; Lynnae Craft, sister of the groom; and Amber Rector, sister-in-law of the groom.

Flower girls were Bethany Harders and Abby Harders, cousins of the bride.

Groomsmen were Ryan Craft, brother-in-law of the groom; Michael Hagen, brother of the bride; and Justin Friesen, cousin of the groom.

Ushers were Aaron Rickley, Andy Armbruster, Jim Gaither and Robert Reeves, all friends of the groom.

Gift carriers were Danielle Hagen, Taylor Hagen, Brady Harders and Kelsey Harders, all cousins of the bride.

Musicians were soloist Sandy Harders, aunt of the bride; pianist Dorothy Stucky, grandmother of the bride; and the string “Academy Quartet” of Bethel College.

Wedding coordinators were Blaine and Teresa Stucky, uncle and aunt of the bride.

The bride wore a white-organza gown featuring a spaghetti-strap bodice accented with hand-beaded and rhinestone-trimmed alencon lace. The back of the bodice was finished with a lace-up accent.

The full-organza skirt and cathedral-length train were hemmed with satin-ribbon trim.

The renaissance hand-tied bouquet was made of spring hydrangea, thistle, blue hyacinth, electric-blue delphinium, fuchsia dendrobium orchids and velvet-red roses.

The reception was held in the fellowship hall following the ceremony and was hosted by Terry and Cheryl Hagen and Gary and Grace Hagen, all aunts and uncles of the bride.

Reception assistants were Carissa Friesen and Becky Soyez, both cousins of the groom, and Danielle Hagen, Taylor Hagen, Brady Harders and Kelsey Harders.

The bride is a 1999 graduate of Hillsboro High School and graduated in 2003 with a degree in accounting from Tabor College in Hillsboro. She is an underwriting trainee with Farmers Alliance Mutual Insurance Co. in McPherson.

The groom is a 1997 graduate of Hillsboro High School and graduated in 2002 with a degree in agriculture from Kansas State University. He is a landscape designer at Nelson Nursery Inc. in McPherson.

The rehearsal dinner was held Feb. 28 in the chapel of Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church and hosted by Kirby and Kathy Rector.

Following a honeymoon in Sanibel and Captiva Island in Florida, the couple resides in McPherson.
