Frederick Hirst, 88

Frederick “Fritz” A. Hirst, 88, retired Partridge High School and Union Valley Grade School custodian, died April 7 in Partridge.

The graveside service and burial was April 11 at Partridge Cemetery with pastor Pamela J. Tinnin officiating.

He was born Nov. 30, 1914, to Frederick and Lucy Walter Hirst in Reno County. On Oct. 31, 1936, he was married to Irene E. Koestel, who predeceased him in 1999.

He is survived by two daughters, Shirley Ann Blew and husband LeRoy of Hutchinson, and Carol Arlene McFadden and husband Byron of Hillsboro; one sister, Eva Marie McLean of Buhler; six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren.

Memorials have been established with Partridge Community Church and Hospice of Reno County.

Wilma Cloutier, 80

Wilma H. Cloutier, 80, formerly with Shawmar Oil & Gas Company, died April 7 at St. Luke Hospital in Marion.

The funeral was April 11 at Holy Family Parish St. John Nepomucene Church in Pilsen with Father Stephen Gronert officiating. Burial was at Marion Cemetery.

She was born July 26, 1922, to Fred and Helen (Morris) Stewart in Kansas City, Mo. On Nov. 2, 1945, she was married to Marland J. Cloutier, who predeceased her in 1996.

She is survived by two sons, Brett Cloutier and wife Glendia of Clearmont, Fla., and James Cloutier and wife Nancy of Hillsboro, and one brother, Fred Stewart of Lakewood, Colo.

Memorials have been established with the Pilsen Community Center and St. John Nepomucene Church.

Lee D. Sidener, 75

Lee D. Sidener, 75, retired farmer and truck driver, died April 11 at Via-Christi St. Francis Hospital in Wichita.

The graveside service was April 15 at Wonsevu Cemetery. Cremation of remains was the interment choice.

He was born Aug. 3, 1927, to Thomas B. and Velma (King) Sidener in Burns. On July 28, 1947, he was married to Evelyn M. Kirkpatrick, who survives.

He is also survived by one son, Rodger Sidener of Burns.

Carlson Funeral Home of El Dorado was in charge of the funeral arrangements.
