Centre FFA competes in skills events

Centre High School FFA members competed in the South Central District (SCD) and Barton County Community College Invitational Agriculture Sales competition March 24.

Students finishing in the top 10 in the invitational were: Laura Klenda, first; Aaron Barney, sixth; and Josh Spooner, 10th.

Finishing in the top 10 in the district competition were: Kristin Mueller, first; Shaina Makovec, fourth; and Derek Belton, eighth. The team finished in first place.

The FFA students also competed in the SCD and BCCC Invitational Farm Management contest.

Students finishing in the top 10 in that invitational were: Cecilia Rziha, first; and Andrea Carlson, fourth. The team finished in second place.

Finishing in the top 10 in the district competition were: Andrea Carlson, third; and Derek Belton, seventh. The team finished in third place.

Centre teams entered in the SCD competition qualified to compete at the state level.
