Marion BOE OKs contracts for principals

The Unified School District 408 board of education approved contract extensions for its three principals at a special meeting Feb. 24.

After a short executive session, Gerry Henderson, superintendent, recommended contract extensions for the three principals: Stan Ploutz at Marion Elementary School, Tod Gordon at Marion Middle School and Ken Arnhold at Marion High School, through June 30, 2005.

The action was approved, 4-0, by Rex Savage, board president, and board members Keith Collett, Susan Robson and Roger Hannaford III.

Martin Tice, business manager, relayed a request from the Biking Across Kansas organization for use of Marion’s gymnasium. The board approved the request, 4-0.
