Tabor men and women see season end

Tabor College traveled to Newton Saturday and was defeated by Bethel 79-70, in the KCAC post-season semi-finals.



Tabor led 33-30 at the half, but Micah Ratzlaff was called for his 4th personal foul at the 14 minute mark, and Bethel took advantage, going on a 19-3 run.



Ratzlaff led the Bluejays in scoring with 18 in his last game in a Bluejay uniform. Derek Karber was the only other player to reach double figures with 11.



Tabor concludes their season with an 18-11 record.



The Tabor women traveled to Sterling to play the Warriors, and were also defeated, 72-61.



Tabor led 35-31 at the half, but a huge disparity in free throw shooting, cost the Bluejays in the end.



Sterling connected on 27-34, for 79.4 percent, while the visitors could manage only 18-26 charity tosses.



Erica Hemmert paced the Bluejays with 15 points. Rachelle Wertenberger had 13, and Casey Stucky and Carmen Hein each added 10.



Tabor ends their season with an 18-12 record.
