Local teachers unite to promote ‘Read Across America’

USD 410 Education Association members are anticipating celebrating “Read Across America” activities on the birth date of children’s author Dr. Seuss. Now in its sixth year, the National Educational Association “Read Across America” is a nationwide event to promote literacy in this country and to celebrate Dr. Seuss’ birthday March 2. Because the birthday falls on Sunday this year, it will be observed Monday, March 3. USD 410 Education Association members encourage parents and caregivers to join them in encouraging children to read.
