Tabor College sweeps Friends University

Tabor College swept a pair from the Friends Falcons Thursday night at Tabor Gymnasium.



The Tabor women won their contest 52-45, but it wasn’t easy.



Tabor struggled, hitting only 19 percent of their field goal attempts in the first half, and trailed 26-17 at half time.



The defense stepped up in the second half, and limited Friends to only 19 points, while the Bluejay offense got untracked and scored 35 points, on 50 percent second half shooting, enroute to the seven point 52-45 win.



Casey Stucky paced the Bluejays with 17 points, and Angela Kroeker added 10.



With the win, their fifth straight, the Bluejays record improves to 16-11 overall, and 11-6 in the KCAC.



The Tabor men had little trouble with the Falcons, posting a 77-48 win.



Micah and Tyson Ratzlaff each had 15 points to lead Tabor, and Brad Gattis added 12.



Micah also led Tabor with 11 rebounds.



With the victory, Tabor raises their record to 16-10 overall, and 11-6 in conference play.
