Tabor splits pair with Ottawa

Tabor traveled to Ottawa Saturday, to play the Ottawa Braves.



The Tabor women used stifling defense, holding Ottawa under 20 points in both halves, and defeated the Braves 56-36.



Jill Hein paced Tabor with 11, followed by Rachelle Wertenberger and Amber McKillip with 10 each.



With the win, Tabor improves to 13-11 overall, and 8-6 in the KCAC.



The Tabor men lost a heart breaker, 71-69.



Ottawa scored the first two points of the game, and never led again, until the Braves tied the game at 69-69 with 10 seconds to play, and stole the ball and drove for the winning lay up with just one half second to play in the game.



Micah Ratzlaff led Tabor with 20, followed by Scott Brubacher with 16, and Brad Gattis added 11.



With the loss, Tabor drops to 13-10 overall, and 8-7 in KCAC play.
