Tabor wins two from Bethel

The Tabor Bluejay women defeated Bethel Thursday in Hillsboro, 61-57.



In a game of runs, Tabor led by 12 in the first half, only to give up a 10-0 run to Bethel, and lead by just three at half time.



Tabor led by 10 in the second half, and again gave up a 10-1 run to the Threshers.



While constantly being chased all night, Tabor never trailed in the game.



Casey Stucky continued to lead Tabor with 17 points. Jill Hein added 13 and Angela Kroeker dropped in 12.



With the win, Tabor improves to 12-11 overall, and 7-6 in KCAC play.



The Tabor men battled league leading Bethel, and came away with a hard fought 68-65 win.



Tabor led by nine with 8:41 to play, but Bethel displayed why they were at the top of the conference, and tied the game with just :54 seconds to play.



Scott Brubacher nailed a 3-pointer with :35 seconds remaining, to put Tabor back on top to stay.



Brubacher led the Bluejays with 20 points, hitting four of six 3-pointers, and 6-6 free throws. Brad Gattis and Derek Karber, who got a rare start, added 11 points each.



With the win, Tabor improves to 13-9 overall, and 8-5 in KCAC play.
