Tabor College braved the winter elements and traveled to Leavenworth Thursday to battle St. Mary in KCAC action.
The Bluejay women were defeated 58-53.
Tabor led 27-22 at half time, but was unable to maintain their lead.
Jill Hein and Angela Kroeker led Tabor with 10 each.
Tabor led by nine in the opening half. St. Mary cut that lead to just five by half time.
The game was in the balance the rest of the way, before St. Mary settled for the five point win.
St. Mary shot 39% from the field, while Tabor managed only 37% for the evening.
With the loss, Tabor drops to 8-9 overall and 3-4 in the KCAC.
The Tabor men used balanced scoring and stingy defense to capture their 5th consecutive victory, with an 88-69 win.
Micah Ratzlaff led five Bluejays scoring in double digits, with 21.
He was followed by Brad Gattis with 19, Scott Brubacher and Cody Schafer with 12, and Jeremiah Randall added 10.
The Bluejay defense came up with 12 steals, while the offense committed a season low seven turnovers.
With the win, Tabor advances their record to 9-7 overall, and 4-3 in the KCAC.
Next action for Tabor finds the Bluejays traveling to Wichita Saturday to face Friends. Womens tipoff is slated for 5:00.
