Deborah Harbison, 52

Deborah Mae Harbison, 52, former laundromat employee, died Jan. 8 at Marion Manor Nursing Home.

The graveside service and burial was held Jan. 10 at Prairie Grove Cemetery in Cottonwood Falls with pastor Larry Timm officiating.

She was born July 7, 1950, to John J. and Margaret (Stephenson) Harbison in Strong City.

She is survived by two brothers, Howard Harbison of Muskogee, Okla., and John Harbison Jr. of Florence; two sisters, Margaret Callen of Salina and Barbara O’Dell of Florence; one uncle, Alvin Stephenson of Lombard, Ill.; twelve nieces and nephews and seven great-nieces and great-nephews.

A memorial was established with Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Marion County.

Reinhart Unruh, 82

Reinhart Unruh, 82, former employee of the state highway department, died Jan. 11 at Hillsboro Community Medical Center.

The funeral will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 16, at Hillsboro Memorial Chapel with pastor John Ratzlaff officiating. Burial will be at Peace Valley Cemetery in rural Durham.

He was born Nov. 26, 1920, to Tobias and Lydia (Ratzlaff) Unruh in Tampa.

He is survived by one son, Cory Dale Unruh of Park City, and one grandchild.

Memorials have been established with Hillsboro Community Medical Center Long Term Care Unit and Parkview Mennonite Brethren Church in Hillsboro.

Margaretha Boesker, 94

Margaretha Boesker, 94, homemaker, died Jan. 11 at Memorial Hospital in McPherson.

The funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 15, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Canton with pastor Michael Sharp officiating. Burial will be at Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery.

She was born Jan. 31, 1908, to Adam and Alma (Frobenius) Buehler near Moundridge. On Oct. 24, 1934, she was married to Otto Boesker, who predeceased her in 1985.

She is survived by four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

A memorial has been established with Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Maxine Bennett, 77

Maxine Bennett, 77, retired rural-mail carrier, died Jan. 8 at Newton Medical Center.

The funeral was Jan. 11 at Florence Christian Church with pastors Harold Brown and Bill Dyar officiating. Burial was at Claney Cemetery in rural Marion.

She was born Aug. 29, 1925, to A.S. and Marie (Salome) Williams in Aulne.

She is survived by two brothers, Rodney Williams of Florence and Darroll Williams of Valley Center; two sisters, Phyllis Brosemer of Florence and LaVon Coop of Newton; and one grandchild.

A memorial has been established with the Florence Ambulance Service.
