William and Kala Nickel of Hillsboro, and Edwin and Miriam Slipke of New Almelo, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their children, Phyllis Nickel and Alan Slipke.
The bride-elect is a 1994 graduate of Hillsboro High School and a 1999 graduate of Fort Hays State University. She is employed as a merchandise planner with Payless Shoe Source Inc.
The groom-to-be is a 1991 graduate of Lenora High School and a 1995 graduate of Fort Hays State. He is employed as a computer programmer for Payless Shoe Source Inc.
The couple will be married Feb. 22 at Trinity Mennonite Church in Hillsboro.
