Tabor sweeps two from Mcpherson

The Tabor Lady Jays defeated the McPherson Bulldogs Saturday night in McPherson by a score of 62-43. Tenacious Lady Jay defense forced 20 first half turnovers and a staggering 35 for the game. Leading by 16 at the half, Tabor was never seriously challenged in the second half. Angela Kroeker led the way for Tabor with 18, followed closely by freshman Erica Hemmert with 16. With the win, the Lady Jays even their record at 4-4, and 1-1 in the KCAC.



The Tabor men led by only 3 at the half, but a strong defensive effort coupled with 67% field goal shooting in the second half, turned the game into a blowout. The final score was 92-67. Micah Ratzlaff scored 14 to lead a balanced Bluejay offense that saw 5 players score in double figures. For the game, Tabor hit 37-67 from the field for 55%. The win moves Tabor’s record to 4-5 overall, and 1-1 in the KCAC.
