The Tabor Bluejays nailed down their second winning season in school history with an impressive 36-10 win over McPherson Saturday at Reimer Field.
Tabor came out ready to play, driving 72 yards on its first possession and scoring on a 39-yard pass from QB David Hernandez to tight end Preston Neufeld with 10:21 left in the opening quarter.
Neufeld scored again when running back Cameron Conant hit him on a jump pass from eight yards out with 1:16 left in the first period.
The Bluejays went up 21-0 on a 34-yard run by Conant with 5:21 left in the half. Mac managed a field goal in the final seconds, but Tabor led 21-3 at intermission.
Mac managed to close the gap to 21-10 with a third-quarter touchdown, but Tabor scored on a 27-yard pass from Hernandez to Olando Harris, and a 15-yard pass from Hernandez to Marsh to put the game away.
With the win, Tabor and McPherson both finished with a 6-4 mark for the season.
