Tabor women beat OWU in home opener

The Tabor women’s basketball team defeated Oklahoma Wesleyan University Saturday night in its home opener, 75-60.



The Bluejays led 30-21 at intermission, but the Eagles pulled to within 7 midway through the second half. Tabor then went on a 15-2 run to pull away. The Jays led by as many as 22 late in the game.



Leading the Bluejay attack were Erica Hemmert and LaTasha Townsend with 19 points each. Casey Stucky added 16 and Amber McKillip 12.



With the win, the women evened their record at 1-1.
