The Tabor College Bluejays are win-less and have suffered at the hands of Southwestern College for over two decades. Saturday appeared to be an opportunity to re-route history, as the Moundbuilders have struggled to find their identity this season.
But when the final second ticked off the clock, Southwestern had added another “w” to the win column with a 29-13 victory over the Bluejays.
The Bluejays again struggled offensively, but Tabor was able to capitalize on a Keenan Morris field goal with no time remaining in the first half to take a 10-8 lead.
But in the second half, the Moundbuilders erupted offensively scoring 21 points to Tabor’s three.
With the loss, Tabor is 5-4 overall and 4-4 in the KCAC. Next Saturday, the Bluejays host McPherson College for their season finale.
