Eldon and LaVonne Wiens will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 24, in the fellowship hall of Ebenfeld Mennonite Brethren Church in Hillsboro.
The couple were married Nov. 30, 1952, at the Ebenfeld church.
The event will be hosted by their children, Brad Wiens and wife Jane of Hillsboro; Diane Schmidt and husband Garvie of Enid, Okla.; Kim Wiens and wife Amy of Dallas; and Cheryl Kauffman and husband D.J. of Hutchinson.
The Wiens have 10 grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to attend the open house, and the couple requests no gifts.
