Unruh, Ensign exchange vows

Jonelle Diane Unruh and Jason Bradley Ensign were married July 20 at Ebenfeld Mennonite Brethren Church in Hillsboro with pastor Gaylord Goertzen officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Jerald and Kaylene Unruh of Hillsboro. The groom is the son of Jim and Kathy Roach of Glen Rose, Texas, and Jerry and Brenda Ensign of Freeport, Texas.

Grandparents are Dolores Johnson of Hillsboro, Sue Banks of Glen Rose, and Ida Ensign of Fort Worth, Texas.

The groom’s great-grandmother is Pearl Hawkins of Glen Rose.

Maid of honor was Shannon Unruh, sister of the bride. Best man was Dave Myers, of Dallas.

The bride’s attendants were Terri Thiessen of Inman, Sharon Kline of Enid, Okla., and Rachel Branam of Wichita. Her personal attendant was Jamie Driggers of Shawnee Mission.

Flower girl was Sydney Gant, cousin of the groom.

Ushers were Ryan Koehler of Windsor, Colo., and Loren and Nathan Jost of Hillsboro.

Musicians were pianist Beverly Richards and organist Rubena Suderman, both of Hillsboro; and vocalists Brad and Kelli Just, cousins of the bride.

Ceremony coordinator was Lyn Lawler of Newton.

The bride wore a sheath dress of guipure lace encrusted with seed pearls and white-crystal bugle beads. Double straps of pearls and crystals framed the shoulders and surrounded a sweetheart neckline. Lace-covered buttons descended from the neckline to the top of the inset godet-sweep train.

The elbow-length veil was topped with a bead-and rhinestone-adorned tiara.

The bride carried a bouquet of lisianthus, dendrobiums and roses.

Reception hosts were Darrel and Geneva Just of Hillsboro. Also assisting with the reception were Laurie Braden, Glenn and Dianne Lygrisse and Don and Kathy Arhold, all friends of the bride.

Guest book and reception servers were Lauren Just and Roxi Klein, both of Hillsboro; Ashley Balzer of Inman; Brandi Halsig and Amy Graf, both of Wichita; Shelley Hutchinson of Lenora; and Kelly Just.

Gift attendants were Sherry Jost of Peabody and Sherry’s granddaughter, Hayley Moore.

Decorations included bouquets of tulips, magnolias, lily of the valley and pussy willows.

The bride is a graduate of Hillsboro High School and earned a degree from Tabor College. She also earned a master’s degree in school psychology at Abilene Christian University in Abliene, Texas. She is a school psychologist for the Fort Worth Independent School District.

The groom is a graduate of Glen Rose High School and earned a degree through the U.S. Air Force. He served in the U.S. Air Force for seven years and is working as a Motorola Field engineer in Fort Worth.

The rehearsal dinner was held July 19 at the Scout House in Hillsboro. It was hosted by Jim and Kathy Roach and catered by Tabor College.

Following a honeymoon in New Orleans and a cruise to Cozumel, Mexico, the couple resides in Fort Worth.
