Marion routes Bluestem 56-6

A solid half of “smash-mouth” football helped Marion squash Leon-Bluestem Friday night in Marion, 56-6.



The Warriors scored 35 points in the first half and added 21 more in the second half to roll over Bluestem, despite allowing a touchdown late in the third quarter.



Quarterback Clayton Chamberland, runningback Jake Adkins and defensive tackle Neil Waner each had a pair of touchdowns in the win.



Coming – The Warriors face Eureka next Thursday night for the final game of district play. If the Warriors win on Thursday, they will face Cheney or Rose Hill at home on the following Tuesday. I
