Betty Boileau, 76

Betty June Boileau, 76, retired civil-service employee and supervisor, died Oct. 9 in Wichita.

The funeral was Oct. 12 at Zeiner Funeral Home in Marion. Burial was at Marion Cemetery.

She was born July 8, 1926, to Edward and Esther Stubby Ewert in Newton. She was raised by her uncle and aunt, Glenn and Carrie Scott of Lost Springs. On Dec. 18, 1946, she was married to Lloyd Boileau, who survives.

She is also survived by three daughters, Carolyn Frazier and husband Phillip of Wichita, Jan Wildman of Salina, and Joy Boileau of Kansas City, Mo.; one son, James Boileau and wife Sheryee of Plattesburg, Mo.; one sister, Beulah Perrill of Lacey Springs, Ala.; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A memorial was established with Harry Hynes Hospice in Wichita in care of Zeiner Funeral home, 205 Elm, Marion, KS 66861.

Wilma L. Gayle, 93

Wilma L. Gayle, 93, caregiver, died Oct. 14 in Marion.

The funeral will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 17, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Florence with Father Steve Gronert officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Florence.

She was born June 12, 1909, to Jewel and Lela (Damron) Lindsay in Weleetka, Okla. In 1928, she was married to Bartlett Gayle, who predeceased her.

She is survived by one son, Robert Gayle of Florence; one daughter, Carol Sue Gayle of Tulsa, Okla.; one sister, Jean Ball of Okla.; six grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

A memorial was established with the Florence Ambulance Service.
