The Tabor women’s soccer team had an easy time staying undefeated in the KCAC, beating the Spires of Saint Mary, 5-0, Wednesday.

It would take more than cold, wind and rain to bring the Bluejays down. Playing against the wind in the first half, Tabor took a 2-0 lead into halftime on goals by Kathleen Stagg and Chrissy Previtera.

With the wind at their back, the Bluejays second half featured a goal by Michelle Rink and two from Becca Toews. The win moves the Bluejays to 3-0 in the conference.

Dana-Last season, Tabor’s season ended with a 5-0 loss at the hands of Dana College in regional play. Last Friday the Bluejays made a big statement as they played Dana College close in a 2-0 loss.

Playing in a mud pit, the Bluejays gave up two field-aided goals from which they could not recover.

With the loss, Tabor’s record stands at 4-6 overall.

Coming-The Bluejays were scheduled to play Avila College Tuesday. They will play host to Bethany on Thursday and then travel to Southwestern Saturday. Both games are set for a 2 p.m. kickoffs.
