After a slew of penalties and a slow start, the Tabor Bluejay football team threw together an impressive offensive and defensive performance to defeat Bethel College 48-0, and make school history by becoming the first team in school history to win the first three games on the schedule.
Tabor’s Tyler Marsh had a career performance vs. the Threshers scoring three touchdowns and picking up a heap of yards on several plays.
At halftime, Tabor had a 26-0 advantage over the Threshers, scoring on Bethel virtually at will, and holding them scoreless.
“It took us a while to crack the safe, but we got it done,” said Tabor head coach Tim McCarty. “We’ve got a lot of tools in the tool box, we just have to learn how to use them.”
The Bluejays are 3-0 overall and 2-0 in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference. Tabor host Kansas Wesleyan University on Saturday afternoon during homecoming festivities.
