Alfred and Darlene Sondergard of Ramona will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with a private celebration.
The couple met while attending high school in Ramona and were married Sept. 6, 1942, at the home of Darlene’s parents.
After serving in the Navy during World War II, Alfred returned to Ramona where the couple owned and operated the Ramona Garage until retirement.
The event will be hosted by the couple’s family, which includes three daughters, Karen Ehrlich and husband Bob of Marion, Marilyn Peterson and husband Jim of Burdick, and Kaye Risser and husband Earl of Hope; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
