Joseph “Joe” G. and JoAnn (Svoboda) Nowak of Pilsen will celebrate their 45th wedding anniversary Saturday, Sept. 7.
The couple plan to renew their wedding vows at a 7 p.m. Mass at St. John Nepomucene Church in Pilsen. There will be a reception and dance following the Mass at the Pilsen Community Center.
The Nowaks were married Aug. 20, 1057 at the church. Joe is retired as president of Nowak Construction.
The celebration will be hosted by the couple’s children Joe and Yolanda Nowak of Goddard, John and Judy Nowak of Inman, Jerry Nowak of Potwin, Judy and Kevin Steinborn of Marion, Jackie and Paul Gengler of Salina, Jan and Jayson Hanschu of Hillsboro, Jennifer and Tim Frasher of Wichita, and the Nowak’s grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited, and the couple requests no gifts.
