Norman, Dot Ensz to mark 50th year

Norman Ray and Dorothy “Dot” May (Janzen) Ensz of Hillsboro will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 1, in the fellowship hall at Hillsboro United Methodist Church.

They were married Sept. 1, 1952, at the parsonage of Evangelical United Brethren Church in Hillsboro.

The event will be hosted by son Randy Ensz and his children, Alicia and Jasmine, of Hillsboro; and daughter Joni Ens and husband Terry and their children, Stephanie and Staci, of Maize.

Norman retired in 1990 after 25 1/2 years of service with Greeley Gas Co. Dot retired in 1998 after 25 1/2 years service in the commercial laundry industry and 6 1/2 years in the laundry department at Salem Hospital in Hillsboro.

Friends and relatives are invited, and the family requests no gifts.

Klinkermans to celebrate 65th

Glen and Imo Klinkerman of McPherson will be celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary with a family dinner on Saturday, Aug. 17.
