Hillsboro’s PMA clinic adds new physician to staff

– Lorrie Campbell has joined the staff of physician specialists at Preferred Medical Associate’s Hillsboro Family Practice Clinic, effective Monday.

Campbell is a 1994 graduate of Sterling College. She studied at the Midwest Baptist Theology Seminary in Kansas City, Mo., and then went on to the University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City.

She did an internship and completed her residency at Capital Regional Medical Center, Jefferson City, Mo. Campbell received her doctor of osteopathy degree in June.

Osteopathy is a medical system based on a theory that diseases are due chiefly to loss of structural integrity that can be restored by manipulation and supplemental therapeutic measures such as medicine or surgery.

Campbell, who already has purchased a home in Hillsboro, is “very interested” in geriatrics, according to Judy Jantz, office manager at the local clinic.

Fast leaving Re/Max to start independent local office

Marlene Fast, formerly with Re/Max Associates, has opened Fast Realty Inc. located in the south area of the bowling alley at 121 S. Main, Hillsboro.

Fast will have part-time hours beginning Aug. 15. and will be open 9 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., beginning Tuesday, Sept. 3.

Pam Reisen has signed on as office manager.
