Scholarship leads student to business education post

When Tabor College student Nancy Isaac applied for and accepted a scholarship from the Kansas Business Education Association last October, she immediately became the student representative for Kansas at the Leadership Development Institute at the Mountain-Plains Business Education Association (M-PBEA) regional convention.

Now Isaac has once again profited from her association with KBEA. She was acknowledged for completing the LDI seminar held during the M-PBEA convention June 19 to 22 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, Wichita.

Isaac accepted a certificate of completion from Gary L. Schepf, LDI director.

Tabor’s assistant professor of business and education, Mary Regier, a 30-year member of M-PBEA, also attended the convention. She said she is pleased with Isaac’s accomplishments thus far.

“It is indeed an honor for Nancy to have been chosen to represent Kansas college business-education majors at the Mountain-Plains Business Education Association Leadership Development Institute,” Regier said.

Isaac, who will be a senior at Tabor next fall, was sponsored by the business-department faculty and Emprise Bank of Hillsboro.

“She is an outstanding student and has the potential to be a great business educator,” Regier said. “I’m very proud of her. I’m grateful to my business colleagues and to Emprise Bank for making this opportunity available to her.”
