D. Dannenfelser, 62

Donna Dannenfelser, 62, died July 18 at St. Luke Hospital in Marion.

She was retired as director of mental health for Prison Health Services with the Kansas Department of Corrections in El Dorado.

The funeral was July 22 at Marion County Lake Hall with pastor Bob Gideon officiating. She was cremated.

She was born Aug. 25, 1939, to Everett and Pearl (Hyten) Blue in Wellington. Her first marriage was to Don Roberts. On March 31, 1991, she was married to Charles Dannenfelser, who survives.

She is also survived by one daughter, Jamie Eckmyre of Aiken, S.C.; one brother, Ted W. Blue of Las Crucas, N.M.; two stepsons, Bret Dannenfelser of Kansas City, Kan., and Brian Dannenfelser of Houston; one stepdaughter, Jill Jirak of Hillsboro; two grandchildren and four stepgrandchildren.

A memorial was established with the Donna Dannenfelser Scholarship Fund.

Ralph A. Ewert, 92

Ralph A. Ewert, 92, electrician and farmer, died July 20 in Marion.

The graveside service and burial was July 23 at Prairie Lawn Cemetery in Peabody with pastor David Randall of United Methodist Church in Peabody officiating.

He was born Sept. 29, 1909, to Bert and Anna (Welsh) Ewert in Aulne. On Jan. 15, 1937, he was married to Una (Golden) Ewert, who predeceased him in 1996.

He is survived by one daughter, Jane L. Ewert of Hutchinson; two sisters, Edna Ewert and Laura Slocombe, both of Peabody; and nieces and nephews.

Memorials were established with Legacy Park of Peabody and the Disability Supports of the Great Plains of McPherson.

Alberta Bartlett, 90

Alberta Belle Bartlett, 90, retired postal clerk at the Hillsboro Post Office, died July 22 at St. Luke Hospital in Marion.

The funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, July 25, at Valley United Methodist Church in Marion with pastor Janet Weathersbee officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery in Florence.

She was born Dec. 27, 1911, to Monroe and Rosana (Murley) Martin in Mulvane. On Sept. 29, 1935, she was married to Earl Bartlett, who predeceased her in 1986.

She is survived by two sons, Don Bartlett of Adare, Ireland, and Gary Bartlett of Wichita; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and four stepgrandchildren.

A memorial was established with Valley United Methodist Church.
