Veronica Powers, 11, has been selected as a state finalist in the Miss Kansas American Coed Pageant to be held July 19, 20 and 21 at the Overland Park Marriott Hotel in Kansas City.
Veronica is the daughter of Dena and Craig Schmidt of Goessel.
Grandparents are Jerry and Tommie Presley of Valley Center, Lyle and Kay Powers of Wichita, Carolyn Powers of Newton, Stan and Sandy Vaughn of Wichita and Gareth and Charlotte Schmidt of Goessel.
