Peabody Swim Team out-swam Hillsboro by 80 points to win the Peabody Triangular Swim Meet Saturday at Peabody.

Peabody racked up 685 points while Hillsboro scored 605 and Herington 204.

Hillsboro coach Mary K. Humber was impressed with Peabody’s team.

“This was a tough meet,” she said. “They got the majority of their points because of their depth. Peabody swam very well.”

Humber said her Hillsboro team encountered some strict judges.

“Our team had some difficulty with disqualifications,” Humber said. “Stroke judging was tough, but I think our swimmers learned some good lessons.”

The Peabody meet marked the end of the regular season. Hillsboro finished the regular season with two wins and two losses.

This Saturday, Hillsboro travels to Council Grove for the league meet. They will battle eight other teams for league bragging rights.

Hillsboro will take 41 swimmers to the meet, Humber said.
