Hanschu feted for top oil sales by Archer Petroleum

— Ronnie Hanschu of Ramona was recognized by Archer Petroleum of Omaha as the company’s “District #14 Big Chief” for having the highest oil sales this past year. He was feted June 13 at the company’s awards banquet in Abilene.

Hein selected as teaching fellow at Wichita State

— Rachel Hein of Hillsboro has been selected as a Raytheon Teaching Fellow at Wichita State University. Hein is a WSU graduate student working toward a degree in curriculum and instruction. She holds a degree in mathematics and biblical/ religious studies from Tabor College.

The Raytheon Teaching Fellows program was created to encourage more people to become teachers of mathematics or science. Following a rigorous selection process, Hein was one of 19 new students selected for the program.

Berg joins Prairie View’s Marion office as counselor

— Sandra Berg of Hillsboro has joined Prairie View’s Marion office as a licensed professional counselor-temporary (LPC-T), specializing in chemical dependency.

Berg is a Tabor College graduate and recently completed her master’s in mental-health counseling at Emporia State.
