Susan Martin of Derby and Robert Perkins of Wichita announce their engagement and approaching marriage.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Patricia Martin of Colorado Springs, Colo., and the late Ed Martin.
The groom-to-be is the son of Roger and Jane Perkins of Hillsboro and the grandson of Robert and Carol Brubaker of Bird City and Dwaine Perkins of North Miami Beach, Fla.
Martin is a 1997 graduate of Manhattan High School and a 2001 graduate of Tabor College. She is an English teacher at Derby Middle School.
Perkins is a 1997 graduate of Cimmarron High School and a 2001 graduate of Tabor College. He is employed as a loan examiner at Conway Bank in Wichita.
The couple will be married July 6 at First Mennonite Brethren Church in Wichita.
