The Hillsboro Swim Team battled their way to a first-place finish at the Moundridge Triangular Meet Saturday in Moundridge.
The team racked up 639 points to edge out Lindsborg by 26 points. Moundridge finished with 22 total points.
The number of swimmers that Hillsboro brought to the meet proved to be a key factor in the win.
Lindsborg’s youth had a strong showing, grabbing the first six relay events.
But the Hillsboro team found wins from their experienced swimmers, winning the next five relay events in both boys and girls events.
Hillsboro dominated the individual events placing in every event.
The swim team will host their lone home meet for the season on Saturday.
Races begin at 8:30 a.m. at the Hillsboro Municipal Swimming pool.
