The Goessel golf team finished third at the HOA League golf tournament last Tuesday at Carey Park in Hutchinson.

“Five of our players hadn’t played here before,” head coach Troy Kemling said.

Goessel tied for 3rd place with Central Christian finishing with team scores of 364.

Individually, senior Jeremy Miller placed 5th overall with an 84. The Bluebird ace is making people take notice, according to Kemling.

“Jeremy has been playing very consistent golf. He has placed in the top ten in every meet this year which only a select few players can claim”

Fellow senior Zac Church followed with a 90.

“Zac has been close in several meets to placing in the top ten,” Kemling said. “We thought that today would be his day since he was familiar with the course and his game has been improving.”

Goessel completed the regular season with the regional meet at Pretty Prairie on Monday, May 13.
